About the Author
Julie B. Samuels
Julie B. Samuels is an educator, autism specialist, and instructional coach with more than 27 years of experience helping students, families, and school communities navigate growth, challenge, and change.
Throughout her career, she has worked closely with children across a wide range of developmental needs, always guided by one belief: when families are supported, children are better positioned to thrive.
Since 2009, Julie has dedicated much of her professional work to students with autism. She has partnered with parents, teachers, therapists, and support teams to strengthen communication, build independence, improve routines, and create meaningful progress both at school and at home.
Known for turning complex educational concepts into practical, compassionate strategies, Julie has become a trusted source of guidance for families seeking clarity during overwhelming seasons.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Education–Special Education, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Julie’s first book, So Your Child Has Autism—Now What?, was written to offer honest encouragement, real-world tools, and steady guidance for parents navigating the early years of an autism diagnosis.
“Progress begins with informed action, consistency, and hope.”
When she is not working with students and families, Julie enjoys writing, learning, and creating resources that empower others.
Mission
